'Terminator: Dark Fate' Review
Updated: Nov 14, 2019
Let me start this review by saying I am blissfully ignorant about all the Terminator projects since ‘Rise of the Machines’. I heard they were trash and not worth watching. I heard this movie was not very good, and a giant embarrassment for the studio. So I came into it with low expectations, and I left the theater entertained.
The movie starts off by basically erasing everything that happens in the universe after T2, and then proceeds to reboot the plot with a new target, a new protector, and a new terminator. Because of this, I think this movie works well, it’s like a well-written love letter to the original two movies.
Don’t get me wrong, this movie doesn’t touch the orginal, or even come close to T2, but it’s so much better than T3 that it’s not even funny. Ten years from now, I’m sure there will be two or three terrible sequels to this movie that will sour my opinion of the franchise, but for now… I’m good.
Verdict: My advice is if you had any interest in watching it at, ignore the negative stigma around it and go watch it. This movie is for Terminator fans.
